Positioning Systems

Adaptek Systems is an innovative leader in custom designed and standard programmable motion control and automated positioning systems. These automated positioning systems have been utilized in a wide range of industries where the efficiency of multi-axis programmable motion control plays a significant role in improving production capabilities.

All automated positioning systems are PC based using simple step or servo motor drives in any number of programmable axes. Applications can include cutting, dispensing, marking and part placement on virtually any size platform. Integrated with our easy to use operational and programming software, the systems can be matched to virtually any level of end userskills with minimal training.

Our custom automated motion control systems range from highly toleranced and as small as 2x2 inches up to large custom automated positioning tables or gantry units of almost any size. The modular components and controls can be selected for your exact requirements or needs. Please feel free to contact our engineering group and we can show you the unlimited possibilities.

Cutting:

Cutting systems typically involve the placement of sheets or lengths of stock onto a flat bed table. Automated loading and unloading options are available for stock feeding from rolls with feed and take-up reels, automatic sinble sheet loading and scrap separators.

Positioning systems from Adaptek will be built to your exact specifications.

Integration of Programmable Cutting heads May Include:

  • Laser
  • Water Jet Integrator
  • Blade or Scribe
  • Routers or Spindle Cutters
  • Paper

Application Materials May Include:

  • Cardboard
  • Fiberglass
  • Fabric
  • Acrylic
  • Glass
  • Foam Board
  • Composite Material

Applicators and Dispensing

The programmable flat bed units or arms are ideal for the application of adhesives, sealants, RTV materials, foam in place gaskets, epoxy, lubricants and much more. The application area is virtually unlimited. These applications are ideally suited for single or multi-head dispensing valves fed from pressuirized reservoirs.

  • Laminated Panels
  • Doors
  • Windows
  • Gaskets
  • High Volume Production
  • Labratory Dispensers
  • Potting or Filling

Marking, Etching and Engraving

Programmable marking applications are typically laser or ink jet; however, other applications are available based on the customers needs. IN many applications low cost CO2 lasers are ideally suited; however YAG, solid state and Ytterbium lasers can be integrated based on the materials to be marked.

Placement and Handling Systems

Placement systems typically include the programmable motions to place objects as well as the material handling to feed trays, cases, or other similar containers or packagin. Typical applications are tray or case filling with automated container handling, plus programmable batch loading into process or drying ovens, painting operations, curing racks and much more.

Meet the Solutions Team

Adaptek Systems' extensive engineering staff can solve your toughest processing problems. Our team includes industrial engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers and advanced software development engineers. Complimenting this team is a group of skilled machinist, fabricators and engineering technicians to produce your systems exactly to specification and with precision quality.

Each turnkey system is thoroughly evaluated, produced and tested at the Adaptek Systems facility before shipment. In addition, detailed system training and documentation is always included so you receive a fully ready production solution!

Typical systems range in throughput from a few hundred parts per hour to up to 1800 parts per hour per cell. Completed individual production lines have exceeded 17 million parts per year, achieving the highest levels of reliability.

Additionally, the Adaptek Systems team has developed two exclusive automated transfer systems to greatly improve your return on investment and your flexibility on the production floor. Our patent pending Modular Station Ring Dial Transfer and Modular Linear Palletized Transfer have both been designed to finally answer the need for a truly flexible, automated processing system platform.
